Krystal A. Omps was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia. In 2010, after law school, Krystal returned to her hometown to begin her legal practice. Krystal has broad experience in civil, criminal, and family law. Her practice areas include family law (custody, visitation, adoption, etc.), criminal defense (felonies and misdemeanors) for adults and juveniles, and other areas of civil law, including but not limited to, guardianship and conservator matters, protective orders, and the representation of parents or relatives in Department of Social Service matters. She has also been qualified by the Virginia Supreme Court to serve as a guardian ad litem for minor children and incapacitated adults.
Prior to joining Kelly C. Ashby, P.C. Krystal practiced with the law firm of William August Bassler, PLC for four years. In law school, Krystal was a published member of the Criminal Law Journal, and interned at Neighborhood Legal Services of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well as the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia.
She is a member of the Board of Directors for Health Families of the Northern Shenandoah Valley and a former president of the Virginia Women’s Attorneys’ Association for the Northern Shenandoah Chapter.
